The register that knows your customer,
catalog, and site.
One profile across web, delivery, and the floor. POS picker filters by the selected location's site so main-site cashiers ringing up an external-site location always see the right catalog.
This is the register. Not a rendering of one.
The actual POS screen your budtenders work in — product grid, verified customer, quick discounts, and a cart that reconciles to the penny.
Built for dispensary
checkout reality.
Most cannabis POS systems are retail POS systems with cannabis flags bolted on. Kushify was built from day one for the actual transaction patterns a dispensary sees — repeat customers with verified IDs, regulated tax logic, scanner-driven flows, and the high-velocity Friday evening rush.
Barcode scanning
Zebra, Honeywell, and generic USB scanners work out of the box. Scan to add, scan to verify, scan to ID-verify.
Site-aware catalogs
POS picker filters by the selected location's site, not the cashier's deployment. Main-site cashiers ringing up external locations see the right catalog automatically.
Quick-discount toggles
10%, 20%, custom amount with mandatory reason capture. Manager-only thresholds are configurable per role.
Per-line price overrides
Reason-captured audit trail on every override. Every dollar of discount is attributable in the analytics dashboard.
New-customer flow
Cashier captures name + DOB + ID at the register. Profile is reusable on web, delivery, and future POS visits.
Per-order notes
Persisted to the receipt and to the order record. Useful for budtender recommendations and recall.
Tip presets
Configurable per-site presets. Tips flow to the driver on delivery orders and to the budtender on retail.
Tax exemption (Prop 215)
Medical patient ID verified at the register triggers automatic local + state tax exemption per California Prop 215.
Cash drawer reconciliation
End-of-shift count by cashier with drift tracking. Discrepancies highlight in the audit log.
POS questions, answered.
What barcode scanners does Kushify POS support?
Any HID-compliant USB or Bluetooth scanner. We've tested extensively with Zebra DS22 / DS27 series, Honeywell Voyager 1250g, and generic USB scanners under $50. Configuration is automatic.
Can the POS work offline?
POS requires connectivity for transactions because compliance logging and inventory deduction are live operations. Most dispensaries run a backup hotspot for ISP failover.
Does the POS handle medical (Prop 215) tax exemption automatically?
Yes. Once a customer profile is marked medical with a verified, non-expired recommendation, the POS applies tax exemption at the line level for eligible products. The exemption is captured in the receipt and audit log.
Can different cashiers have different permissions?
Yes. Eight sub-permissions cover discount limits, manager overrides, refund authority, voids, and price adjustments. Role definitions are configured per-site.
